On June 1st every 5 years, at least three countries will all go bankrupt simultaneously in my current game. Some go bankrupt much more than this. For example, after looking at the save file history, I see that Cologne has had no less than 150 bankruptcies in over 80 years. The rate at which they've been going backrupt has been increasing too.

They have a GIANT army (65k troops) in their one province country - obviously beyond their support limit (or any reasonable limit, save attrition.) To pay their outrageous monthly costs, they keep taking out loans, which keep having higher and higher interest because they've been bankrupt so many times recently. Thus they go bankrupt even faster.

Obviously, this is a problem in the AI, and may start to dissapear if one of the causes for the problem - the collection of huge, unmaintainable armies, is fixed. However, the AI should actually take some sort of care to avoid bankruptcy, so I recommend fixing the AI in both ways.
