Court of Love mod brainstorming

i want to make a society mod that replicates the "Courts of Love" that were said to exist at the court of Eleanor of Aquitaine and her daughter Marie de Champagne. This society could be focused around diplomacy and intrigue and would have lots to do with romance and writing poems and songs. The upper tiers of the society could be restricted to noblewomen, but men can join the first two ranks. A benefit of joining the society might be to boost your other skills by devoting yourself to a midons and earning her (or his) favour. You could challenge others to duels if they didn't respect your patron's honour and beauty, or even declare war over matters of the heart. You could receive missions from your midons to go on some great quest that they establish the terms of. You could also choose whether to pursue a physical relationship with her or him or to follow the more traditional tenets of courtly love and remain chaste.

i think this would be a great flavour mod but I have very little experience and I don't quite know where to start and what should be missions, decisions, powers, etc. Asking for brainstorming help.

Regarding what you said about a lack of modding experience: Look into the "The Tutorial Society" mod. It handily explains everything you need to know about making a society, other than scripting complex events or decisions.
