Crash after every fight

Help! I just bought the game and EIC - updated with update 2 and designers cut (in that order) - is now crashing after every battle..... if I fight the battle it just ends up stuck at the end and if I auto-resolve it just goes straight to desktop.......

going to look around for driver updates and the like but any help would be appreciated

running Windows 7 ultimate
with duo AMD Turion
and an AMD Radeon HD 3200 video card

don't know what info may help beyond this

In between the patch, messing with video settings, and finding new video card drivers the problem has been fixed!
