Summary

Crash after selected a game

Description

I'm contacting you because I can't manage to play Crusader King III on my PC. I bought the game yesterday, and when I launch it, I have access to the game launch page (I don't think I have any driver problems, otherwise the game wouldn't launch), then when I click on new game, I click on the button at bottom left that should allow me to select characters other than the default ones. The loading page launches, then the game crashes. I can't find the error, could you please help me before I ask for a refund?
Thanks for your help

Hello,

First of all - thank you for your report. We will try our best to help you, but I have several requests:
1. Please go to documents -> Paradox Interactive -> Crusader Kings III -> Crashes, then .zip specific crash folder and attach the folder here.
2. Please make a dxdiag file and attach it here. To do so type "dxdiag" in your search bar on windows taskbar, then select dxdiag run command from the start menu.
3. Despite, as you mention, you just bought the game, please try to verify files in your Steam - perhaps there were issues with installation. To do so please use right mouse button click on the game in your steam library (on the list, on the left) -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files.
4. Did you buy any DLCs or the base game? If you bought DLCS - please write which ones and which ones have you enabled.
5. Did anyone ever played CK3 on the PC you use?
6. Is there any chance you accidentally downloaded mods? You can check it in your launcher (after clicking "play" in Steam and selecting Playsets).

Note that I made pretty big assumption here - that you bought game on Steam, if you have game on Windows Store some of what I wrote above will be redundant.
