Crash on game startup

I bought this game the other day and installed it with no problems, but when I try to run it, it crashes. The splash screen starts up just fine and I click on the "Start Rome" button and it starts loading, cycling through 3 different pictures, but when it says at the bottom "Map properly initialised..." it immediately crashes everytime. I am running Vista and have tried the old "Run as Administrator" ploy, but it does the same thing on that. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times. When it crashes and the Vista window comes up saying that Windows is trying to identify the problem it doesn't come up with anything. Having looked through this forums' Tech Support thread, I have noticed a couple threads discussing similar problems but it seems like the suggestions are specialized to that person's particular system. BTW, are those people who give suggestions actually Paradox Interactive tech support people, or just technically suave enthusiasts of the game? Anyway, looking through those threads led me to go ahead and get the information from DXDIAG, and the other 2 .txt files. So here is that... The game doesnt require internet, but I notice you have old graphics drivers. You might want to update those as older nvidia drivers have been horribly unstable and causing crashes on vista.
