Hi,

My game crashes either when I launch it or when I start a game.

I just reformatted my computer, updated my NVIDIA GeForce RTX4080-Super graphics card driver, and updated my motherboard driver.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, running it as an administrator, and running it with Vulkan, but nothing works.

Sorry, are you saying this problem only started happening after doing that? Or it was happening and you did all that to try and fix it?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

Unfortunately you have the problematic Windows 11 24H2 version, AND one of the Intel CPU models affected by their well-known hardware problems. That said, neither of those issues generally prevent the game from starting, but respectively freeze the PC or crash the game while playing.

But we see three unrelated crashes in victoria3.exe and some crashes in Nvidia software in that dxdiag, so nevertheless I'm pretty sure this is a Windows or hardware problem.

I suggest you contact Gigabyte and update your bios from there, if you have not done that in (say) the last month. Then if there is an "Intel default" option in that bios version select that; if not just leave it as is.

Let me know if that helps!
