Crash when clicking diplomacy screen

I'm playing 1.05, Soviet Union, August 28, 1936
and whenever I click the diplomacy screen
it usually crashes ??? I love this game, but despite
patches it tends to crash frequently making
game play hard.

I'm on XP Pro, 1,7ghz.

Rename your AVI folder to AVI_back, Update your video drivers.

Renamed the folder, display drivers are the latest (intel 8mb integrate chip). Still crash-galore. I get to play for a few minutes before it does that.

EDIT. Thought I had it up-to-date.Updating drivers now

Okay, updated. Still the same effect.
To clarify, The game exits itself when
I click the diplomacy screen of SOVIET UNION
which is the country I control, other countries...no crash

Does it do this with a freshly started game?

Noo..after I load a game usually. Maybe something is corrupt in the save game process ? But all my games tend to crash more or less for just 'clicking something'

Okay, please run a directX diagnostic, and report the results.

Also can you give me full system specs.

Take a look at Jedi Jones' thread. If you have too many nations granting you military access you may have the same thing happening as I experienced.
