I tried several games and experienced plenty of random crashes. Now that I started a new game with the 1.04 version, game date is dec 1940, playing as germany annexed russia and puppeted vichy and the uk, the game crashes every two minutes. Here my tech dates:

athlon600
384 mb ram
win2k build 2195
DirectX 9.0
nvidia gforce2 gts detonator version 4345
creative sblive! driver version 3509.1.0.0
koch media version 1.04 (english language)

I tried it on with win98 tpp, tried all of the workarounds and tricks described in this forum, but to no avail.

By the way, are there any other players who are experiencing the same problems with the 1.04 version?

Scan the bug forum and see if anyone has reported anything there.

Hey! I have the same problem. These crashes were happened seldom with 1.03b, but now they are much more frequent.

I am with the U.S.S.R and I have had three crashes so far. One was when I puppeted Rumania, one when I accepted the Pact with Germany, and one when I attacked Germany.

With 1.03b I have had only two. for a couple of games and now with 1.04 I have had 3 in just one game. I have sent one to Vulture and he said he could reproduce it, so hopefully something will come up.

Usually, you can fix them if you load a really earlier save, but it is only temporal in 1.04

If you have a repeatable crash that happens in more than one game then report it in the bug forum.

Try the following:
Update your video driver.
Update your sound driver.
Update your operating sytem.
Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
Disable the music in the HOI settings program.

Try all of the above, then if you are still getting crashes, give me full system specs, and a detailed description of when they happen and what you were doing when they happen.
