Hi Patric

Since installing DirectX 8.0 I have noticed a distinct drop in the regularity of crashes. It doesn't completely stop the crashes but they become considerably less frequent. It is worth mentioning DirectX 8.0 to the community as it does reduce the problem.

PS There are a few minor glitches with v1.07c, mostly text changes/spelling mistakes, but I'll email these to you separately.

It is definately worth trying as there may be things in DirectX that are more stable since the 7.0a release.

Stupid question:

How do I know which version of DirectX I have installed?

Go the Start menu and select run, there you type 'dxdiag' and then you get a program that can test your DirectX systems as well as tell you the version number....
