Have been getting a crashing issue with CK3. Have attempted to clean redownload without mods, turning off V-Sync, and a bunch of other smaller fixes that dont seem to be working. I dont think this is a hardware issue, i have a 4070 super that can handle much bigger harder to run games than this. Crashes used to be longer intervals, have over time gotten worse and worse until the game has become practically unplayable.
Trying to get this fixed before the new DLC comes out, will not be purchasing the chapter 4 pack until i can get this fixed.

I see you are using Vulkan as your renderer. Is this because you have Windows 11 24H2 and were experiencing the hard-hangs we are seeing with this game on that platform? If so that is fine, leave it like that.

If not though, please try switching to DirectX11 instead.

Otherwise, given that error log Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Crusader Kings 3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/ folders - In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

THEN Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

THEN start the game with no mods active and test

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.txt

Have done the full clean redownload for a second time now, this time i also full cleared the documents file for paradox. Same issue is occuring, can sit in the title screen or paused for as long as i want but if the game runs for about five minutes it will crash. have also already done all of the screen optomization things already to no avail. ususally run direct x 11, the vulkan was just an attempt to get it working again. I have a 4070 super, so i should be able to run this game no problem. i also consistently run other games like HOI 4 and Helldivers with no issue, so i am confused why CK3 is so much of an issue.

You do have the problematic Windows 11 24H2 version, so leave it at Vulkan please.

But you also have one of the problem Intel CPU models, and have not updated to bios to deal with that; you are on BIOS: 1605 wich is I believe from 2023. Please check with iBUYPOWER and install the latest for your system board. Thenh in that new bios if there is an Intel Default option, select that, otherwise just leave it as is.

That should help you!
