Crashing all the time

It started again. This have happened with Victoria, too. The problem is: The game works fine for a couple of games, but then it starts to crash all the time. I have tried to reboot, reinstall the game and even reinstall the whole Windows (XP), but the game still crashes.

What's wrong? I would like to play this with my friend, but we can play only 5-10 (game)years and then it crashes. Well, we reboot and continue our game, but it crashes again after a few years.

Of course, I went to internet and downloaded all the patches and updated my game: Still, it crashes. I installed EU2's version 1.09 (or what was it?) but it still crashes... :confused:

I'm totally hopeless...
 
Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.
