Hi, CK3 always crashes when i launch the game. Here are the solutions I have already attempted:
  • Launched in windowed (various resolutions)
  • Launched without personalised content
  • Reinstalled the game
  • Deleted Malware Bytes
  • Added CK3.exe to ransomware protection (Windows Defender)
  • Disabled Windows Defender
  • Deleted the wgs folder in the CK3 file (did not give me an option to stop syncing)
  • All of my graphics drivers are up to date
I haven't found any other suggestions on these forums or others and was wondering whether anyone had any other fixes?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

I am having the same issue as op.

Starting CK3 from gamepass into launcher (which works). Than starting the game itself just ends the launcher and nothing happens.
Win10, 64k - all drivers/updates are up to date.

What i can add to the description is that windows event monitor points at paradox launcher with the reason beeing ntdll.dll for some reason

Yesterday, the launch & game worked fine.
Even with several restarts/saves/loads.

The problem for me started today. none of the ideas above worked.

That is odd since neither the game nor launcher have changed in the last few days. Was there a Windows or driver update perhaps?

What antivirus app do you use?
 
I've got the same problem with Xbox GamePass. Launcher starts but game won't launch.
It worked the first days after release but a week ago or so the problem occured for the first time.
Deleting the wsg folder and stopping the sync will let me start the game. But I have to do this every time I want to start the game and it deletes my ironman saves.
So if the wsg folder is causing the problems, is there any way to solve this once and for all?

Change your Ironman saves to be local not cloud!
