Ok Stellaris for ps4: I have all the dlc: this crashing started to happen once I got so far into the game. Never had it crash on me in the beginning of the game it in. It crashes once it is saving, manually or automatic so I can’t save my progress anymore.
I looked up the problem on google didn’t find much expect the new patch was supposedly to solve the saving issue.
I also deleted my cache to the best I could and looked for updates for the game and ps4.
Any help with this would be great.
thank you.

So I just did the uninstall and reinstall and no luck. The crashing is happening on Stellaris console edition(latest version). I got to the part where the scourge came into the game. I’m just about ready to fight back and I can’t because the game is not saving my progress anymore. Hard to play it again after putting that much time into it only to be forced to stop playing the game because of some bug or glitch.

Thanks again for your help with this, it was worth a shot but it looks like I’m done playing Stellaris.

When did you start this save? And any details on galaxy size/number of AI and the type of PS4 (regular, pro, slim, etc)?

Ok I can get really detailed if it makes a difference. I’m not at my house atm to get on.
My ps4 is the slim Pro I believe. Small but it has a tb built in.
The galaxy I’m in is the largest, elliptical and for AI there’s at least 8 of em. So there’s plenty there for it to load. But I’ve done this before in the past when I first bought the game, never had an issue then so I’m guessing it’s the dlc. And all the dlc are loaded. That’s why I purchased them...
The saves I’ve been doing are normal and started it from the beginning of the game until now. Normal I mean I’ve been saving this way since I started playing this game nothing new has changed. I had it setup where it saves annually and normally, I manually save it. Once it got past a certain point, and it took awhile of playing, I’ve been playing this same game for some time now. It started to crash. First it was every once in awhile and it progressed from there. Now I can’t save it it just crashes completely.... pretty sad lol

Do you think this save was started before August 25th? On August 25th we patched Console Edition for further late-game crashing issues, and old saves have a tendency to crash on the new version.

Honestly I couldn’t say for sure but there’s a good chance I did start before aug 25... I had uploaded the new version when it came out so I probably was playing. I get what your saying though, I didn’t think about that figured everything was good with the new patch downloaded. But that makes sense... I’ll try another game soon and see if I can finish this time don’t want to give up on the game since it’s a pretty good strategy game.
Thanks for the advice & sorry for the long paragraphs.
