Creating off-map provinces

Question as per title, really. How do I add an off-map province to the DH map? I need one to create the off-map European Union in MDS, and I'm not familiar with map editing in the HoI series (or any Paradox series, really).

Any pointers from someone in the know?

I think DH already has off-map provinces.
There were a few in 1.00 and 10 more were added in 1.01 or 1.01.1

EDIT: in 1.00 I THINK (I'm not a map expert) you can use provinces 2757, 2758, 2759 and 2760 as off-map provinces.
Then in 1.01.1 provinces 2761 - 2769 have been added for this purpose.

Please be aware that I'm not 100% sure.

Did not know this...where is this in documentation???? Very nice to know there are offmap provinces though.

Now I need to go back and fix map issues. (I used real minor provinces as placeholders for offmap, basically gave the countries non_aggression with everyone).

currently free ids in 1.02:

;1012;free
;1159;free
;2464;free
;2760;free
;2761;free
;2762;free
;2763;free
;2764;free
;2765;free
;2766;free
;2767;free
;2768;free
;2769;free

1.01 has less avaiable ids compred to 1.02's 2770 so you won't be able to use the later ones, but the first few are avaiable, just check the misc.txt for how many provinces the map has in your version.
Let me know if you need more then 13 and I'll squeeze in a few more for 1.02.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

For my purposes, the currently existing free IDs and the ones you plan to add will be more than sufficient. Perhaps someone else would appreciate more, but I'm more than satisfied with what's on offer. Thank you!
