Nope. There are some events posted here that I will probably submit for the EEP.
 
what about some event making a slavonic empire, if you control the northern slavonic provinces you can create an emipre, perhaps with istra if that changs to slavonic, or something like that
 
OK, I'm afraid I'm hijacking this thread to propose some of Kelvin's changes for Croatia. I've slightly modified some of his suggestions, check his thread (link above) for his proposals. In particular I was concerned that his leaders might be over the top and might wreak havoc as super-Croatia conquers all. Or at least wins the Soccer Bowl and the NASL. ;)

First province changes

Istria:
Make it Slavonic, Naval Equipment, lvl1 fortress, capital: Pula, remove Ottoman shield (it's in the 1526 Hungarian sequence, and I think it may already be gone).

Dalmatia:
Wine, capital: Dubrovnik

Kelvin suggsts no Ottoman shield but I really don't buy it. The Ottomans held territory right up to (but not including) the coastline.

And I know that Ragusa and Dubrovnik are the same thing, but Ragusa province is misnamed, and Dubrovnik was the pre-eminent city in Dalmatia

Croatian CB shields: Croatia, Krain, Istria, Dalmatia

Kelvin suggest Ragusa - to me that province is too far down the coast to be considered even a little bit Croatian

Any suggestions and thoughts about these changes are welcome, as is any discussion about the Slavonic Empire.
 
dont make Istria Slavonic. Trieste is Italian but a special sort. It is Furlan which has a large slavic minority in that area but the people are Italianized, they speak Latin based Dialects, and they are mostly ethnic Italians
 
If Dubrovnik is in Dalmatia, then what is Ragusa? The province pretty obviously modern day Montenegro, but the question is, what was Montenegro at the time? Venetian I think, at least along the coast. Anyway, the country should be deleted in this case (maybe made as a revolter in Dalmatia).

Also, this means Ragusa ought to change to Orthodox.

think bulgaria and rumelia are to hard to get at start

if you these province, event where you become slavonic empire (or something)

I'm pretty sure we agreed that Styria (the new Hapsburg state) would NOT control Krain - on the map that's pretty much where Zagreb is. In real life Krain (which is called Carinthia in English) is further northwest, in Steirermark province. Even if Krain is given to Styria I'd argue that Croatia should still get a shield as big chunks of that province ought to be Croatian.

The province of Istria is much bigger than real life Istria and includes about 1/3 of what in real life would be called Dalmatia. I personally would argue that Trieste is in that province, but it's a close call and I don't see why Trieste should be the capital. But regardless of all of that, the Italian presence in the province as a whole has always been slight - the Venetians may have ruled large portions of it, but the populace was by no means Italian. I think Slavonic fits best, and that doesn't penalize Venice anyway, as they have Slavonic as a state culture. Italian culture means that Croatia and Austria are penalized if they control that province and Naples and Genoa are not. This doesn't make sense to me

I'm not sure about religion in the Montenegrin area in the 15th century. But it definitely needs to be revisited. Possibly Ragusa (province) could become Venetian and Dalmatia province be used to represent Dubrovnik. I think there may also be a case for giving Ragusa to Albania.

Or just drop the whole thing as being to complicated to change. In either case I feel very strongly that Croatia should NOT get a shield on Ragusa.
 
OK, I'm back, and I'm sick and tired of stating same things over and over. Istria is definitely Slavonic, as it makes no difference for Venice (has both Italian and Slavonic cultures), and I don't have the time or will to repeat why it is Slavonic (check the other thread).

Second, Dubrovnik/Ragusa is/was a CB for Croatia, as it was Croatian since 7th or 8th century. Even the part of that province that is today part of Montenegro was Croatian, and Croats became minority there only after 1945 (thanx to Serbs).

I won't meddle into things that I have no clue about, neither should any of you.

BTW, Isaac, good changes, those events were, after all, a first draft only.

Once again, read carefully the other thread, you'll find everything on the subject there. Otherwise, for specific questions, post in any of those threads nad I'll answer (just got 10 days off)
 
oh well i tried for Istria ;)... but really the Istrian province ought to shrunk a LOT... a few new provs should be added along that coast too bad the map file cant be edited :(
 
There should be 1 more province between Istria and Dalmatia, one more between Croatia and that province, and Slavonia between Croatia and Banat and Serbia, plus Krain should be Slovenia or Karinthia, but as we can't change th map, the best we can do is to make Istria Slavonic...
 
Croatia must not have shild on the provinces krain and istria beacouse : 1.)Krain never was a part of croatia,it's slovenian
2.)Istria allso never was part of croati until around
1946,when it was given to the croats by the serbian
comunists,and allso istria was under slovenia

Iff there would be a chance to create a slavonic empire,it should be Carantania,a historical slavonic nation from around 700AD.
 
"Istria" province is much bigger than the Istrian. For the same reason that I don't think Croatia should have a shield on Ragusa I think they must have one on Istria.

To me, Krain isn't as clear cut, although I still think the shield is right. I don't know enough about the status of Slovenia at the time. It was under the Hungarian crown, right? What was it's status with regards to Croatia?

Make monarch file for Croatia :D

As it is now, it is not RP playable as you dont have moranch, that is you have some randome strange monarch.

In any case, I cant play the role whit random "Newer heard for him" monarch :rolleyes:
