So there's been a lot of talk about how one of the big weaknesses of the game is that there just isn't enough content. There are few enough anomalies that you'll be seeing many of the same ones by your second play-through, interesting colony event chains are too rare to serve as a mid-game substitute for the early game anomalies, and it is absolutely possible to research all or most of the techs in a single game. However, content mods may be able to help with this.
While overhauling technologies would probably need a unified vision for how combat should be re-balanced, among other things. I was wondering whether people think it's a good idea to build a content mod by crowd sourcing anomalies and colony events- that is, we could post a thread that anyone can post ideas to, and a group of modders can go through those ideas, take ones they find interesting, make them into event chains, and submit them. We'd then only need one person to compile all of these events, and maybe set the MTTH.
I don't know if I'd be the right person to organize this, even if people thought it was a good idea - I'm not a very experienced modder, but I wanted to gauge interest and see whether or not there were other people who like the idea and were interested in getting it started.
