How about waypoints/sensor off/on for torpedoes?
Generally there could be UUVs for the submarines as those most likely will be operational in 2030
 
We also need a way to explain to the user all these options. The engine itself supports all kind of things like orders on waypoints, but presentation-wise, this will increase the apparent complexity of the game manyfold without that many benefits.

This is a good candidate for the suggestions subforum, btw.
 
For what? Pretty sure every weapon already tracks from launch, be it through own sensor or datalink (think we should call it MagicLink :p), and hits only the intended target with some weapons retargeting on their own on a miss.

Weapons actually making an intercept rather than just going straight at a target would be nice though.

* That and the waypoints, of course.
