Hello,

I'm experiencing a very strange bugs here.

I have Victoria installed...

I wanted to install Crusader Kings... the first thing after you insert the CD is to click 'install' in the autoplay. The problems start here...

I click install and everywhere the installation program should refer to the game as 'Crusader Kings' it calls it 'Victoria', even suggesting a file named 'Victoria' to install the game and, by default, it would register the game as Victoria, too.

I've tried 3 things. First, I left the install 'wizard' do what it wanted... intalled the game as 'Victoria'. After that, Crusader Kings was intalled in a file named 'Victoria', but is really was 'Crusader Kings', of course. I thought, then the problem was solved as the game loaded... but it shows a strange bug. EVERYWHERE in the game it should be displayed a text, it replaces the text by the phrase "UNKNOWN STRING WANTED". The game is, thus, unplayable.

I also tried to manually install in a "Crusader Kings" file and even unistalled Victoria... none of this worked... it still shows "UNKNOWN STRING WANTED" everywhere is should be a text.

Guys, I'm a great fan of your games... and it wasn't any easy to find 'Crusader Kings' over here... so if you can do anything for me and REALLY would appreciate.

Thanks.

Well, this is my first post...

Are you Brazilian too? At least it seems, looking at your username :D

About the "Unknown String Wanted", it happens when you install Crusader Kings in a Windows that has its language settings different than English. To solve this, first uninstall your version of CK, if you haven't already. Go to Control Panel, then Regional Options. In the first screen that appears, change the language to English. Install CK again (this time it should work correctly), and after that you can change the language settings back. :)

This worked for me.

Even though the installer says Victoria, it installs nicely as Crusader Kings.

It's a text artifact and has no bearing on the game itself.

Download the 1.05 patch and (after the install finishes running) make sure to install that as well.
