Sorry I was out of town so do I just have to wait for this issue to be resolved?
Right now the developers are on summer break, so I can't give you an exact ETA.
You could try creating a new windows user account and see if the game works there, this has worked for some people. Please be assured your issue is very rare and you are one of the first cases where it is reliably reproducible, so we need some time to take the required measures to fix the issue.
