Hey everyone,

I'm having a CTD after I load a save game and press unpause. When a day goes by, it crashes. I''m running for some achievements and already spent quite some time on the game so I really don't want it to mess up. I've noticed it's just as a day goes by, because if I unpause at minimum speed, the game goes fine until the day passes.

I think one possible reason might be that I just saved after winning a big invasion and getting a big chunk of land (I'm playing nomad) and that a lot of counties are currently under "siege" but no army siegeing it, the classic siege when you just conquer a county that goes out as a day goes by. I don't know if just saving in that precise moment may have caused the game to crash while removing the sieges the next day, I'm just guessing because I've had no problems like this before. Other save games are running just fine.

So far I've tried removing my armies (I saw that it could be a possible cause in a thread elsewhere). The exception log file states this:

######## EXCEPTION: 0xC0000005 at address: 0x014B2378: ACCESS VIOLATION read attempt to address 0x00000000
Version: Unknown Version
08/10/19 23:37:38

I'm uploading the save in case it may be of any help, if anyone knows a possible reason this might happen I'd be willing to hear it out.

I'm not aware of that situation as a known bug, so it needs looking into by QA I think. I suggest you post this save in the Bug Reports forum, hopefully they can get a fix into the next patch or two.

Thanks for your answer! Already did it. Just for my record, did you try to run the save? So I know if it's something about my settings or specs (although I've finished quite some games already and never found a problem like this).

I did not, no, I took your word for it!

Would you mind trying? I'm a bit lazy to start off the game again right away, and would like to see if the issue can be fixed :)

I tried to run the game and it crashed at he 6th, so the first day after start.
Only to confirm.
