CTD Doomsday and armageddon

Well bought the Anthology pack. Installed ( and uninstalled alot of times) the game, but it keeps crashing.
I use vista, and when the game loads, i get to the start menu, choose a contry, but when i press start the game crashes to desktop, with a windows message saying Hoi2 stopped working.
I have tried everything, instaling and uninstaling, patching and no patching. Nothing works.

For Vista.

1. Never install the game in the default folder -- install it somewhere like c:\games

2. Turn off UAC.... Here is how

3. If you are installing Armageddon -- don't forget to install the 1.2 patch.

If you turn off UAC you can install the game in its default folder. It will work correctly then. UAC is a royal pain and re-routs tons of call etc.... that can break things. Microsoft was not thinking with a full stack when they introduced this damm thing.
