CTD issues- Not sure why

I havent been able to figure out why they occur, but i am having a bunch of stability issues with the game. I love it, but it crashes on me all the time, and at seemingly random moments. I do have 1.01, but still sometimes i wont even really be doing anything and have it crash. I run an athalon Xp 2000 and have 512 megs of ram.

is the pop list on the side screen at the time, and do you have 1 or more 100k pops and some smaller ones in the list?
i just discovered that one today. well, not discovered. had it happen, then found someone id-ed it on the board.
i think i read that its fixed in 1.02, and the workaround is not to sit on those screens, and if you do pause 1st

CTD

Yup,

I get CTDs for NO APPARENT reason.....its not just at certain screens, it will crash whenever. I could be staring at the screen deciding what to do next, no mouse movement...no nothing and BOOM...CTD...its worst than HOI 1.00.

I believe it has something to do with event notifications...i believe the crashes are due to certain events and the pop-ups that occur.

other than that, dunno why...happens most frequently prior to the 1870s....with a CTD every couple of days.
