Hi, I've been playing a really great game of HOI and now it CTD's the second the game turns to November 8, 1944. I've loaded several different saves and it makes no difference. I'm running HOI 1.03.. is there any way to fix this?

This sounds like the USA election bug.
Check the thread in the bug forum named "do it yourself bug fixes", near the end of that thread you may find a solution.

That might be it- the USA did join the Axis and all.. at first glance I didn't notice any solution. I'll look again more carefully.

I just loaded my save game as the USA (I'm actually Germany) and I noticed something odd: the Head of state is FDR (on November 4 1944) and the line under it says "none" on the right hand side with no title above it. Then there's foreign minister, etc..
Any idea what I should do? This may or may not have something to do with it.

Okay I see it was not there. I have updated that thread to include a link to the work around.
