I experience a ctd in the german campaign (road to war 1936-1948) on October 6, 1942 at 2200 or 2300 hrs. I believe its some event w/ the US that triggers it, but can't be sure....crashes before I can read the boxed message. Never had any ctd previously. Any known issues with this or anyone have a similar problem? Have 1.05...gonna try 1.05c tonight to see if that does the trick. Thanks.

1.05c should fix that crash.

You could try loading the game as a different nation then play past the point it crashes, then save and continue playing with your original nation.

Tried playing game as Canada and then as Australia, but crash still happens. Is it possible for me to play as the USA in this saved game? If so I couldn't figure out how to do it. Thanks for the previous suggestions. Anything else I may want to consider trying?

Did you try HOIFIX on your save game?

ctd fixed!!!!

Sorry it took so long to get back (got a 3 week old kid.......they demand a plethora of attention). I tried starting a new game as the US and then loaded the german saved game as recommended. I found the bug! It had to do with an American fleet that was scheduled to arrive somewhere near the aleutians at 2200 hrs on oct 6. I cancelled his orders and the game didn't crash. I'm not sure if it was the fleet though....as a japanese naval bomber was basically just floating in the water at the intended destination. I'll try playing the saved game as the Japs and see if that's the root of the problem. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks again. slug71
