I'm playing CK: DV 2.1beta which came as the Crusader Kings Complete Pack.
After choosing my faction and starting the game the loading screen appears, and the text "Initialising provinces" is displayed, at which point the game crashes to desktop. Vista generates the following error report:
This is actually the second copy of the game that's been on this computer. I did my best to remove all traces of the original (which belongs to the previous owner) including looking around in the registry, but (before this installation) there didn't appear to be anything left.
The laptop specs are adequate - Vista 32 Home Preimum, 4GB RAM, Intel Core Duo 2.00GHz, ATI HD3470 etc, etc... and I've seen CK running on it before with no problems. I've also got this particular copy of the game running on my desktop perfectly well, so I don't think it's the physical copy that's the issue.
