I am running EU2 Strategy First patch 1.07
I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with:
384 mg Ram
a 2.0 Ghz Celeron.
WinXP SP1
11.84 Gb free on my harddrive
an ATI Radeon 9000 PCI with 64 MB DDR drive v.6.14.10.6360 (which is the latest version)
SoundMAX Integrated digital audio drive v. 5.12.1.3515
DirectX 9.0a (4.09.0000.0901)
I have the following connected to my computer
Microsoft USB optical mouse
HP Deskjet 842C
Logitech wireless keyboard
Epsen perfection 1200U (USB)
I think thats everything you asked for
Problem:
When I first start the program the game kicks me to the desktop after initializing the sound. The bar for the game will still show on the taskbar, but if I click on it my monitor will flash black for a moment then return to the desktop. Also, if I have the music enabled it will still be playing in the background until I close the program using the task manager.
I have tried the suggestions from the self help faq, change avi to avi_back, disable music, uninstall and reinstall game, but so far no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
