Program: Surviving Mars Xbox One Edition
Device: Xbox One 1tb Elite bundle version.
Problem: Surviving Mars Xbox One Edition CTD when trying to start a new game or load a saved game, no error message, just immediate program closure and return to xbox home screen.
Repeatable?: Yes 100%

Surviving Mars Xbox one edition updated yesterday night. I hoped it would be a fix for the missing dlc bug. Unfortunately the update has rendered the game totally unplayable for me.

Attempting to start a new game leads to a short load screen followed by a crash to the Xbox One desktop. Attempting to load a game causes an immediate CTD.

I have cleared caches, rebooted, reinstalled (twice) and all to no avail.

I really do enjoy this title and did purchase it fairly. I would like to at least be able to play it. :) Though as a gamer I do understand that games are complicated and sometimes bugs do happen.

Hello, same thing happened to me.
I play on Xbox One.
I’ve been playing for a while and it first crashed today : I am unable to load any of my saved files, I can’t start a new game either.
I have tried to launch the game with my husband’s profile, i can’t start a new game either.
I hope it will be fixed, and I hope that I won’t lose my progress.
I really love this game and I can’t wait to play again !

Try uninstalling any DLC including dome sets and the Mysteries resupply pack. It will let you create new games and load the new game saves but won’t let you load the saves that was created with the DLCs.
 
I tried uninstalling the Mysteries resupply pack and it's still not working (it crashes even sooner!).
I bought the most expensive pack (65€!) with the season pass etc.
I don't want to play without the stuff I paid for... And I don't want to lose my saved files !
This is ridiculous, developers please make it right ... !!!
