CTD when creating Arab Federation

Playing as Italy N/N. Fresh install with 1.03a patch. XP pro with all patches and drivers up to date. Game has crashed 3 times in a row now, just after Arab Federation has been created. It doesnt matter when I create it. I can wait a week or two (game time), so it isnt any other actions that causes this. Its november 1941 by the way. I have never tried to create Arab Federation before, so I dont know if this has been a problem on earlier patches.

Is this a known bug? Cant find anything on it on this forum. No other known problems with HOI2 or any other games.
 
If you have a save game that demonstrates this (preferrably 100% of the time), please submit it as per stickied instructions, and include a listing of the steps needed to demonstrate the crash. Thank you.

Come to think of it, autosave was my latest savegame from that session, now overwritten with another campaign, I'll pick up from a older savegame and try to reproduce the situation and submit. It seemed rather 100% to me.
