It seems like the CTD problem that i have with paradox games never seems to end... As an old EU player i pretty much know when there is a CTD risk so i always save my games before accepting those deals or whatever it is.

But with HOI2 and DD it seems to be at random and this is very annoying when it happens the last day in a long fighting month, and i have to re-do the whole campaign. I remeber sometime seeing some quick fixes for this issue just wondered what they where.

Have you tried this:

1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.
