The error log is in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/logs

Where is the crash happening? Do you have a save?

Sadly the logs doesn't say anything.

But you are able to start the game and play for while(i.e. not crash at startup)?

If you are somewhat computer savvy, could you please press the windows button + 'r' and type "eventvwr" and press enter. This should start the event viewer application.

In this application, select "windows logs"->"application". Can you find anything here about ck2.exe?

Here is my DxDiag. Thanks for answering that fast ! Oh, by the way, I deactivated the trees to lessen the burden on my aging rig, and checked for the latest drivers...

Hmm, still seems like your drivers are out of date though, your dxdiag says they were last updated 10/3/2009...

I'm also getting a CTD during playing the game. It keeps happening at a similar point when I reload the last autosave. The application error from the event viewer is:
