Is it possible to play as a custom character or will the game crash? Also if it is possible is it fun or does it break the story line of the game?

Just dont rule design people with their own events (mostly found in AFFC, ACOK, aka danny, stannis the mannis(one does not simply ruler design him), Robb Stark in ACOK,etc)
