Custom simple assets just will not appear in game

Hi,

I have had the problem that customer road assets seem to be or feel to me as if a bit buggy.
I can create assets off of other assets however, they seem not to appear in-game for some of the assets?
Whats am I missing here, is there some setting the controls the availability that I am not seeing or yet to have found?

Could be they require the Mass transit DLC.

Those roads are from Network Extensions 2. The game doesn't recognize them like normal roads, because they are different (due to being made with a mod and not the editor).
