Custom water building broken in game

This behavior affects the latest update to the steam edition of this game.

In the asset editor...

If you attempt to create any water building based on the template, when you save it out...

You can go to use it in game, and it will have no water pipe connection.

That is to say, you can not connect a water pipe to it. Even if it looks like there is a pipe connected, this pipe will neither cary water from the building, or sewage back to it. The building is a dud.

In fact if you look closely, where there should be a dark circle under or beside the building at game time, there is no such circle, so that means there is nothing to connect pipes to.

Can someone reproduce this problem?

Hello, i have exactly same problem.

I had this issue earlier. When you import the default building you are building a template off of, make sure you click the radio button to import existing props and decorations.

Did somebody roll out a patch? This issue seems to be fixed in a recent cities skylines update.
