Damm bug:P

I play as China in the 1419 scenario.I have modded the events a little for China so that I had three COT:s. But all my COT:s are gone now because of the "lack of competition"-event. My question is: where in the game files can I find the COT-events?

I believe thats hardcoded. What sense makes a CoT when nobody is near to trade?

chefkoch is right, and this isn't a bug. Who was trading there? Just you? Do you call that a center of trade?

Anyway, there are several ways to stop this.
- In game, you can let other countries trade in your COTs (i.e. don't compete them out immediately).
- You could also go back to a saved game before they disappear, then find the right cot entry/entries and set "failure = 0.000". That would keep them in business for a while longer.
- If the cot has already disappeared, you can put it back in, but it's somewhat more involved, and I don't want to write it all out unless you really want to do it.
