I decided that I might as well create a folder where I or other users ask questions about the design and layout of the mod that is too detailed and complicated to answer to fill up the Thread quite frankly. This is also a place where I may ask the general public for their opinions on certain matters of the mod, note not every spoiler will be shown here, but just a few..
To start it off, In the mod.. I have Line Infantry units set to 5500 men each I believe... Similar numbers applyto the grenadiers and such. Calvary units number about 3000 man power, and 2900 horses.

The main question I wish to ask is.. For the 18th century part of the mod... Should I just use the 10000 manpower default levels for infantry and such... It would make things simpler, less units, and the game may run better.. Though it may have a negative effect on realism, what do you guys think?

I would personally suggest the latter option, just to save you work, after all, it is a huge project. Furthermore, you could always change it to the smaller numbers after you've done most of the other stuff (events, maps, etc) for that part of the mod. Of course, I'm no modder, so I don't know much on the topic.

Just my two cents on the issue, I just want this mod to actually happen.

>10000 manpower default levels for infantry
That would cripple napoleonic and pre-napoleonic armies completely, especially with the E3 map. For example, the grand armee in its most expanded state had 156 infantry foot regiments (~300 battalions). Translating them into 10,000 mp (10 battalion) "divisions" would mean the biggest pre-WWI army in Europe would have barely ~30-40 divisions. The UK, Austria, Prussia would have 10-11 divisions. The entirety of Europe would have ~100 divisions, meaning no front can be formed and you'd have constant chase on the map and some lone brit division taking half of France, because the AI can't redeploy fast/precise enough to stop it.

IMO, it would be better to use a d_01 new model (for example) to represent 3,000-5,000 pre-1870 infantry brigades/demi-brigades, with unique unit names and just deactivate d_01 and activate infantry models in the tech tree post-1870 to represent the shift into bigger units. Also, d_01 can later be reactivated to represent post-cold war brigades (in a later stage of the mod)

Or you can go with ~1,200 MP regiments (most fun IMO). The major powers would have ~100-150 (just as much as GPs have divisions in the vanilla game), so I imagine that it won't really slow the game.

You really have to decide if you want sandbox or realism, when it comes to unit size.

Alright.

Design discussion issue II:

---------------------------

Can anyone here design sprites, or get ones from EU2 to work on The E3Map?... As those sprites are to be used for basically all nations before the 1830's or so. Victoria 1 sprites can be used for the rest of the 19th century.

I had someone working on them, but I lost contact with him after my skype was hacked and I had to create a new account...
Any offerings of assistance would be HIGHLY appreciated. Thank you.

OK, I tested the sprites you sent me and they work fine.

Your sprites are called ARMY, just change that to INFANTRY.
Your sprites are called for different countries, for instance C-AZT, so change this to C-RUS if it is for Russia, or C-GER if for Germany as an example.
From the list of sprite files in the BMP folder, pick out all the L-1 sprites for one country, eg. C-AZT. There will be 11 sprites.
Rename these files from : T-ARMY C-AZT A-FIRE D-NE L-1.bmp to T-INFANTRY C-RUS..... leave all esle the same.

From the list of text files (.spr), again pick out the C-AZT L-1 files, again 11 files.
Again change the name to T-INFANTRY C-RUS for instance.

Open up one of the text files, see this:

Sprite = {
Bitmap = "T-ARMY C-AZT A-STAND L-1.bmp"
Origin = { x = 30 y = 62 }
Frames = 15
Palette = "CS-AZT-ARMY-L1.bmp"
Speed = 15
}

Your palette file is named here.
Again change the Bitmap = "T-ARMY C-AZT.... to
T-INFANTRY C-RUS for all 11 text files and save.

Find the palette file in the palettes folder, and put this file into the mod palette folder.
Put the BMP files into the units/bmp folder.
Put the text SPR files into the units folder.

Ensure there is an infantry unit being called in your mod for Russia if you used RUS in the sprite name.
Start the game, choose to use sprites and they are visible no problems.

Can someone please convert the sprites Offically?... I'm sorry nova, I may be able to program events, Make new borders, creates flags, Do everything else in a mod basically, but it just can't program the sprites to work.. There are just so.. Many of them, believe me, I have tried.

I ask anyone who would be willing to volunteer to participate in making the historically accurate sprites for each unit idea a reality.. I'm sorry if I am acting like I have up, I didn't, I tried extremlt hard but I believe I simply am not cut out for sprite making and maintaining in mods.. I'll send the full mod to anyone who is willing to do this.
But I'll continue trying in the mean time.

All I did was rename the files already done. You do not have to create sprites, just rename them. I did 3 videos on how to create sprites, if you look at the last video, you will see the program I use for renaming and how to use it. It is called RenameIt.
