DD- Alpenfestung: Germany's last stand

I have the impression that almost nobody really plays the DD-scenario. The add-on is only used with the 1936-scenario (maybe 1938 in MP). Is that correct so far? What about the following idea for the next patch (or maybe a mod?): Let's assume that Himmler had really build a gigantic alpine fortress and an army on its way to the Alps had not surrendered short before its arrival. If Hitler is involved or not (fled from Berlin to the Alpenfestung or historical suicide) is not that important. Now we would have two options: 1. Patton's way: Ally with the remainders of Germany and take on the Soviets together. 2. Allies vs. Comintern vs. Axis Himmler didn't manage to negotiate peace terms, but instead assembled about 1 million SS-troops amongst other Wehrmacht ones to the Alps. The German industry wasin great parts moved there after D-Day and Operation Bagration (alternate timeline) and massive fortresses were constructed around Austria. Location: Austria plus Trento and Friedrichshafen, Munich and a couple more. The fortress should be restricted to the mountain regions (maybe level 5 in each). IC of Germany: I'd say around 50 Technology: high-tech (Wonder weapons are always a great alternate history) AA: level 10 in the mountain regions. Germany would be at war with the rest of the world. It could be the greatest fun in HoI-history. Dig into your fortress, use your respectable IC and modern tech to slowly build up and try to make a deal with the winning side. Or go on a complete frenzy and try to defeat all (banzai!). Or what about defending with few forces the northern border and march into the weak Italy as a stepping stone for future glory. If Germany is a.i. then it would be a nice little flavour addition. Now you only have two parties fighting. Plus, finally Germany would be the biggest challenge of your life as it is intended to be annihilated after a couple of bloody months. _______________________ I took a look at the editor recently, but it's just a level too high for me (I know it's supposed to be easy to handle, but I am stupid).
