I've just played my first game of DD as ComChi and I've managed to conquer all but SW China. However, I've also been looking out at how the other countries do and it seems to me that the SU has a hard time in Europe. Sure, they beat back the allies to the Rhine, but soon the tide turns and their army in Europe gets annihilated. Rather than reinforcing the center, they decide that sticking 70 units in the Korea opposite the island off Korea was a good idea (I mean they were facing off against 86 allied divs, but 70 on def still a bit overkill) and that it was a good idea to try to take India and the Middle east with another 100 divs, and another 20-30 in Norway while leaving its center in Europe COMPLETELY exposed. Completely = 0 divs nada. Right now its not even 1947 and the Brits/allies have reached Stalingrad and are almost at Moscow. How can the SU lose in Europe at the start and how can they leave their center exposed like that? I think the AI needs some serious work to get its priorities straight.

Looks that way

Doomsday os a good game, but DD scenario sucks balls. I don't know how about other people, but for me it needs A LOT of modification before becoming playable.

Edit: Oh and the AI really needs to learn about the strategic redeployment function. Watching the soviets move 100 divisions across sibiria on foot is ridiculous.

lol Now THAT is a first. I have never heard anyone having problems with the Soviets strat deploying too little. Judging from the general comments I've seen in this and other threads, the DD scenario AI still has a bit of a ways to go.
