Hi folks,

after having beaten the AI a number of times in DD 1.3 I decided to give an AI mod (DAIM) a shot with my newly acquired DDA 1.0a.
I must say: great job, guys, I'm impressed!

Playing GER in '36 I noticed Jap finishing off CHI in only 9 Months :D that should have made me pause - I played historically 'til Danzig, then finished Poland + France within 6 weeks (Vichy). Shared Poland with the bolsheviks and did Weserübung. So far so good. Then in April '40 I noticed the russian build-up: they had 450 Divs!
I had to declare war a full year ahead of my plannings, on June 8th, 1940 and since that was a bit ahead of my planning my offensive was stopped right behind Kiev (South) and Minsk (North). It is already Mid-August and rain has started so I guess my game is lost :(
I must admit that Russia now is definately a lot more challenging than in Vanilla DD and I wanted to thank the DAIM-Team! :)

Seems like I have to plan much more carefully next game I try it... although...maybe I have not completly lost yet and should give it another try... :p

Nice to hear! :)

I take it that you made sure manually that DAIM works correctly in your DD:A installation? There's no official version for Armageddon yet.

Update: I managed to turn the tide and -after a long cold winter where nothing happened- I moved my panzers again, this time far more successfull ;)
Got the Bitter Peace (with a litte japanese help in Vladivostok) on July 28th, 1941.

Been playing on a little longer - Italy totally sucked in Africa, the U.S. landed in Northern Japan (beginning of '43) but never tried anything on the westwall :( what a shame...

Hmm ussr can be kinda hard to fight when you when 200 div and they 500 but then when you trap 150 division everything changes

err... yeah... sorta... *cough*

still playing this game (now in '44) and am a little worried about the 300+ Divs I left the Russians with. But for now all is quiet on the eastern front (with a LOT of fortifications :p )

Sounds good! :)
