So, Here's what's going on:
I was thinking about playing some stellaris with a friend but we found that we both have different versions of the game.
Her version is Pyxis v3.10.0 (462c), which I can only assume is the latest version of the game.
My version was Pyxis v3.10.0(1378)
as of today after Uninstall/reinstall the game and the launcher (separately), ran steam on admin mode, verified files, made sure I wasn't opt'd into a beta, no mods, no playset and my version of the game changed to Pyxis v3.10.0(9899)

My launcher says that the current version it should be launching is 3.10.0(462c) but the game launches it in 9899.

I am at a lost, I've done a lot.
Current specs: Radeon swift, 16 gigs of ram, gaming republic motherboard. nothing crazy.

The only working theory I have on what could have caused an issue was before I uninstalled and reinstalled stellaris the game file was actually from another os/steam because my friend accidently formatted my harddrive and but manage to save my steam folder (idk how). so when I go to install games back on the new computer it usually takes a second for steam to recognize the game already on my computer before it's lite up for me to click on it though steam.

But since I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled stellaris that shouldn't be an issue.

It is also worth knowing that my friend normal stellaris as well, no mods no nothing.
edit: I apologize if this is in the wrong area, this is my first time posting and I didn't see a button to make it say "bug reports" or "tech support"
