Your Biography:
It is July 1st of the year 1200. You are Facundo the Just, first of his name, of House Jimena - King of Aragon, Castille, Galicia, Leon, Navarra, Mauretania, Africa, Egypt, Jerusalem, & France; Duke of Gascogne & Aquitaine; Count of Acre, Almansa, Castellon, Denia, Djerba, Kurzeme, Mallorca, Menorca, & Valencia - a 36-year old crusader who has just married his third wife, Queen Consort Ela. You are mildly suspicious that your lover, Corexia de El Mey, may be responsible for the recent pandemic of death afflicting your former spouses, God rest their souls.
Your first wife, Agathe Billung, daughter of the late Kaiser Meinhard the Just, has given you one son and two daughters - Princesses Argilo & Juliana, and your heir, Prince Facundo. From your lover, Corexia de El Mey, you have your legitimized bastard son, Prince Blasco. You have only recently married your 16-year old lustful Midas Touched wife, Queen Consort Ela.
The status of House Jimena: Your kinsmen, Fadrique II, sits on the throne of Portugal, while Vseba sits on the throne of the independent Kingdom of Bohemia. Your nephew, Sancho I, is Basileus of the Byzantine Empire. Sadly, your nephew is not only a Greek Orthodox, but is also possessed. Three of your sisters have married matrilineally to the Kings of Rus, Hungary, and England. While most of those thrones now lie solidly with your house, the electors for the Agnatic Elective Kingdom of England are not happy with the excommunicated hunchbacked bastard who you placed on the throne and his sons are not currently viable heirs.
Most of your vassals are happy with you except those you have imprisoned and the Duke of Badajoz. Most of your dukes are Castilian, like yourself, except the Basque Duke of Alger (whose current female heir is Castilian), the Frankish Duchess of Orleans, the Frankish Duchess of Calabria, the Frankish Duke of Sardinia, and the Catalan Duke of Granada (whose current heir is Castilian). Your greatest (un-imprisoned) internal threat is probably the Duchess of Orleans, though you are also concerned at the power of the Duke of Tunis. The Prince-Bishop of Agen, though not a threat, is very likely to rebel at the next succession as well as the Counts of Damascus, unless you get around to making the duchy and you give the duchy to a count near your capital (currently impossible due to the Shia's internal wars of self-destruction). Your greatest external threat is your nephew, Basileus Sancho, whose army is decent and who may choose to push his many claims against you after a succession. Your greatest overall threat is the number of elective kingdoms in your realm - Galicia is safe, but if you want to keep your kingdoms out of the hands of greedy dukes, you may eventually have to change some of the Middle Eastern succession laws. Those dukes will probably not be happy.
You are currently involved in three wars: you are pushing Count Grim of Cebta's claim for the independent county of Shetland and also for his claim on the county of Orkney via Queen Ragna I of Norway & Denmark. You are also "assisting" Basileus Sancho as he defends against the Duke of Thrace & Vidin in a War Against Sancho's Tyranny. Your vassals are mildly upset with you because you only recently finished the holy war for the Emirate of Jerusalem - a particularly prolonged war because you are a military genius and decided to send your 100,000 levies overland and piecemeal against the Shia Caliphate (you sometimes wonder whether you, also, are secretly possessed). After your current wars, your next most obvious immediate paths of expansion are the numerous claims that you have against the Kingdom of Portugal and against the Duchy of Trondelag.
Your Challenge:
If you so desire, please load this save game and then report back on this phenomenon:
Please go to the Intrique screen and select the Plots sub-menu. Then, play for several hours in a single sitting and, during the middle of an extensive war, go again to the Intrique screen. You should still be in the Plots sub-menu, but now click to the Prisoners sub-menu. If your game crashes, please report back here. If it doesn't: click back to the Plots sub-menu, and then please continue playing and try again after as much time as you can spare in-game - starting with the Plots sub-menu open, and then click on the Prisoners sub-menu. If your game continues not crashing, please also report back here. This also flows naturally with a revolt - you can go to the Plots screen, choose a Duke/Duchess who is plotting, select to imprison them, beat them in a war after they revolt, and then try to go to the Prisoners tab so that you can revoke a title from them.
