Thank you.

This game is... fantastic. There is little more I can say. I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time. I literally cannot remember the last time I sat down to a game and didn't even check the clock until 4 hours later.

Now, the game isn't perfect (no game is), but for a game that I had literally zero interest in until I tried the demo, this is mind blowing. Warlock can be held up as a perfect example of two things:

1.) This is what a team of talented people who care deeply about their game can do. This game was clearly a labor of love and it shows.

2.) At the end of the day, a fun game is all that we want. Warlock doesn't have a large budget. It doesn't have perfectly executed cut-scenes. It doesn't have any of the trappings that saturate the AAA market these days. It doesn't have a deeper meaning. It doesn't have a complex narrative. What it does have is thoroughly addicting, and thoroughly enjoyable gameplay. And really, that's all it needs.

So thank you. Thank you for caring about this game so much. Thank you for reminding us jaded, cynical PC gamers that at the end of the day, we just want our games to be fun.

Slow Clap

(I'll save my nitpicks for a different thread)

Even better that the game is in such a good state that they can focus almost entirely on AI and new features.

I hope they do, if they do they will have set a great foundation for version 2.

Thank you.

QFT. Thank you, this is a fantastic game.

I played this for like 17 hours straight, from the time it released at 1pm yesterday to 6am this morning. It's been a very long time since a game has made me forget to eat or sleep.

thank you.

nice!!!

Well, I liked FFH and therefore I like Warlock, too. A really nice game, good flavor, good mechanics, nice to play :)

Two points: The manual is very short, not much love I think, no tech tree (magic/buildings), no units tree... the ingame tooltips could be better, too

I have posted some bugs and minor faults in other threads but i will also say thanks to you here.

Even when some problems exist atm, the game is fine and can be a stepstone for 4x games.

I would also say my congratulations to the developers. I was a bit skeptical about the game (the fact that only 3 very generic races was in the game bothered me). But I now finished my first game (on Normal) and I can say the game is definitely enjoyable and has the "one more turn" feel to it. I didn't have a single crash the entire game (probably 10 hours) and I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. Very nice.

Sure the AI is a bit weak (good defensively, bad offensively) and there are a ton of things to improve in the game but with some patches and maybe DLC this game can become even greater. Even though it needs many improvements, I actually thought the unit AI was better than Civ 5 as it is.

Congrats!

I will fall into the praising-chorus as well :)

While there are some annoyances (such as missing victory conditions, ...), the game is stable (!) & fun (!!). It definetively has the "one-more-turn"-feeling (* External links arent permitted. Please re-read the rules. Ask a moderator or admin if in doubt * :) )
Now imagine how good it will become once all the features are in and working properly :)
My thanks to Ino-Co!

Definately one of the best "low cost" games (for 20 bucks!) I played recently.
Especially the engine is very stabile - no bugs, crashes, missing/wrong text files, glinshes,.....

This one could be turned to a real great competitor to Civ with some more patches and DLCs adding some more features and diversity!

Great one and applause to Paradox and Ino´Co

Yeah, it's very fun and as mentioned, stable and seems well thought-out.

THe problem seems to mainly be interface issue/functions and lack of information (tooltips, tech trees, etc.)

i have 8 hours in and game feels great. there are little things, like spell tooltips not showing some times and stuff like that but overall really fun to play :)

This game made me pull an all-nighter without realizing it. As Kratos said- Niggles for another thread, this game is thoroughly enjoyable and plain fun!

Now where is the Coffee pot...

Also greatly enjoying the game :) I just finished my first game about half an hour ago. I started playing an hour after the release time and have been playing whenever I can.

It was a 468 turn rollercoaster ride on challenging difficulty mode. I'll save the details for another time (and thread), but save to say I enjoyed the back-and-forth fighting and my rise from near-defeat up to becoming the dominant mage wiping out the last mage with a couple of gold dragons - the very creatures used by an enemy mage earlier to almost obliterate me.

I think I'm going to have a cooldown period now, then I'll get stuck in again! I tip my hat in thy general direction.
