I'm trying to play as an Armenian Duke- and it's impossible when my neighbor declares war on me then asks his ally with 24k men to help. Ridiculous. Also my chance of converting province religions is 1%. 1%!!!!!!! Why did you make the mod this way? Totally unfun.

So, why are you not able to call in the Byzantines? Really, in most Armenian games, you're best bet is to advance west before the big blob to you're right remembers that you exist.​

@scorekeeper12 you need to ally yourself with the byzies. for the next version it will also be possible to delay crusades/jihad so it doesn't happen immediately after start.

as an alternative, you can just swear fealty to someone.

This is also one of the most challenging areas of the map to play in - wedged between multiple major empires and religions, in an area that's not particularly wealthy with no meaningful coastline.
