In my game as France I'm chilling out in my level 10 forts and planning an invasion of Germany...anyway...

The game gets to 13 Dec 1941 and it just pauses. You try to do anything and it crashes...majorly. Not just a CTD, this is one big, long crash that takes my 2.4ghz processor and 512 ram several minutes to shut down.

So anyone know what the deal is here>

What do you mean corrupt saves??
Do you mean can you play your save game if you upgrade?
The answer is it is always suggested to start a new game. However 1.05 to 1.05B may work.
 
there is a way to edit your save file so the game may work - look in the bug forum its somewhere there..

Castellon - maybe sticky the info about a bug and how to fix as there are quite a few people asking about this..

It still should be stickied in the bug forum as the offcial patch is 1.05 which has the error...

Well I could do it myself, as I have mod powers in there but, it is Vulture's show. Plus If I get them I can just move them into that forum and pretty soon he will get the picture. :D

Actually, when my friends and I went to 1.05b, we could still play our saves, not sure if that will work for everyone though... ;)
 
I think that is what I meant. ;)
