How do you go about declaring bankruptcy?

Can you be more specific? I also had five loans out and they just kept getting extended. What determines the bankruptcy trigger?
On being bankrupt and having no money
If your bankrupt, and have taken out loans, what will you have to 'pay back'? do you lose units and ships? or od you lose the game overall?

Used to be you get lower inflation.
1.08 however will instead give higher inflation (to counter the possible exploit it may lead to otherwise)

You don't lose men or ships, but their morale drops substantially, making them pretty useless in combat.
