Upon seeing an ongoing Catholic uprising in the lands of my Muslim neighbors, I, the Catholic king, decided that it would be a good time to declare a holy war for a province adjacent to the uprising - so that I have an excuse to defend it and ensure that it succeeds, grab up some land next to it, and eventually swallow up the new Catholic state one way or another.

The issue is - this Catholic uprising is automatically hostile to me, and to everyone else, so I have to tip-toe around it, letting it do their siege business and intercepting the Muslim armies on the way.

Surely, there must be a better way?

- Firstly, I should be at peace by default with all religious uprisings supporting my religion in heathen realms.

- Secondly, I would like more information shown about these uprisings. I know from experience these are always duchy-level, but when I mouse over the war, it just says "Defending against X of Catholic Uprising in Umayyad Catholic Revolt." I would like to know what lands are being contested, and see something like, "Umayyad Catholic Revolt for Barcelona."

- Thirdly, consider what diplomatic options would be game-balanced for this case. It would be logical, for example, to be able to "offer to join war" with these uprisings, as one may with any holy war. However, this would change the dynamic balance of the game, as any uprising supporting one major religion against another could immediately be piled upon by everyone and their daddy. Still - isn't that how WW1 started? The concern, however, is that this would create a "freebe" war, since if the uprising loses, you lose nothing substantial. This is, however, also the case with joining other people's holy wars - if you win, you win, and if you lose, you don't lose very much.
