Since the latest update to the game, the degree counters that tell you how many degrees your road is turning before being laid has gone. Furthermore, when making a road, for each notch you take on an angled road that isn't on a straight right angle, each notch will lay off course by approx 1 degree.
Snapping on 45degree angles will also make any notch you take on your road move by 1 degree.
