Deleting history

Hello there,

I've read deleting history is supposed to speed up the game, and my game is going pretty slow at 1942 (using the sprite trick + kill AI cheat + 1.3 patch with no ghost fleets). Im playing Armaggadon.
So my question is how do you delete save game history so the game will run faster?

do you mean 'history' as in game events or 'saved game history' as in saved games you don't need?
