Does anyone know if 1.21 or 1.22 fixed the bug where sometimes (not because of changing start date back and forth, but in the course of the game) there are no cores in a HRE province and the emperor demands the province for himself? I was thinking about starting a new Austria game and wonder if I can somehow exploit that

Afaik this only happens if you move the start date forward and then backwards before starting. It's a nasty bug (and it causes other things too) but it should be avoidable if you just don't change the date backwards.

@Trin Tragula as I said, it's not because of that, I know this bug and it's not it. Let me give you an example: normal setup, no mods, ironman, not changing the start date; country x attacks country Y, both are in HRE for a certain province; this province wasn't owned by Y in 1444 but it is their core now; the war ends with X taking the province; suddenly it turns out that there are no cores in it, only a claim of X; i (emperor) get a popup, demand returning the province, and the province ends up mine. Any ideas why those cores disappear? Latest occasion was in 1630, so not the bug above
EDIT: I believe someone has mentioned this already somewhere in the forums, it was something like 'missing duchies' or so

Alright, I think I've localised the problem. (Almost) everytime someone annexes (all the provinces) a different country, it loses all its cores, not only in HRE. This lets the emperor demand them for himself. I do admit I play 1.20.1, so it might've been fixed already. @Imse Vimse

Hello

I would like to ask you to check if you are seeing the same thing appearing in 1.22.1 and if it is, please reply with a save where it has occured.
