Team of project developers is hurry up to show new playable demoversion of TNW!

For one and a half year, we have done a lot for creation within the framework of HOI-2: DD the world, close to our reality 1996 year. Noew this demoversion include:
1. Totally new map (political, economical, geographical...)
2. Totally new units structure
3. Totally new technologies (1, 2, 3 - review after 0.1b version)
4. OOB for the whole world
5. Starting technologies (by groups, unique for grand-countries)
6. Research teams for all countries (unique for grands, majors and some minors)
7. A number of random events (not finished at all yet), with wide usage of techs and other conditions in trigers.
8. New interface of game
9. New sprites for land and air units (redone after 0.1b version)
10. Static (temporarily) AI for 1996 year
And few temporarily elements for playablity, like generals and shadow ministers.

You can see lots of screens in old topics for versions 0.1a and 0.1b.
We hope, it will be the last demo-version :)

MOD is made for HoI2: DD 1.2. Instructions are inside the archive.

How community of Plaza...

...looks at possible appearance in TNW dynamic event series about F-1 racing?
There is such technology (in tech-trees), and I think it is quite interesting idea. Every end of year it will be choosen at random new country-champion (with F-1 tech) :)
 
This mod looks great!The technology screen shows that you put alot work into it.
What kind of AI would work best for this game?Something along the lines of the Risk mod which is all out war with some factions working together or are you going to scriped the AI to build relations by the kind of goverment they are? Download file worked fine (using 56 phone hookup) took about 2 hours.
Will keep a eye on this mod and hope that it gains support.

Thanks! Really, we work much with them. But will continue work on our techs. I think new ideas can appear =)

AI must be dynamic - events for AI should load new files-scripts because of currect situation. If new war begins - countires AI should load AI-script for war with this country. I think it is too ideally, but something like this.
Of couse, events should work only because of situation, no simple "history". But make AI to think because of government type is quite difficult. But we will try.

The most difficulties we have with ministers =( Too boring work with cabinets. And we must create ministers of all political specters - from socialists to facists. It is hard to find this information :( (our team is from fUSSR - what can we know about french neo-nazi? :wacko: )
And gerenals will be with random names and photos - we don't know exactly who will be normal generals in wars in 2010-2030 ... (and it will be very quickly)

Yes, we have enlarged energy in starting map, add new events for adding offmap and "onmap" resources (building, geology, etc.), and also +50% for probability of old building events.
Big problem is AI doesn't want to trade with money($) actively. He doesn't buy resources for money at low countries - only other resources and supplies

I'm not trying to sound nasty, but the stupid AI lack of trading makes this potentially fun mod unplayable. After about 2 months into the game most nations will have exhuated their resources and have 0 ICs. Sure they still have money, but they aren't doing anything with it.

What if you changed the resource values so that money was worth significanly (like 10x) more than eveything else?

P.S. I see no one is interested in dynamic championships of F1 and football. But they will be in new version!
It would be interesting, if I ever got through a year.
