1. the game was crushing to desk top so I disabled my music and changes my AVI directory into AVi_back so now the game starts without the opening and with no background music. is there a way to hear music without crushing it to the desktop?

Have you tried turning the music back on, now that the AVI is disabled.

If it still crashes there are a few things you can try.
1) update the drivers for your video and audio cards.
2) reduce the acceleration for your audio.
3) play the music with a third party player like winamp.

As for installing the patch, just run the patch!
